LAPRA FITNESS CHALLENGE

The Los Angeles Police Relief Association (LAPRA) 2024 Fitness Challenge will kick off this spring with walking, running and cycling challenges and the biggest cash awards ever for winning individual and team challenges - totaling more than $100,000!

Now in its 16th year, the Fitness Challenge brings active LAPD sworn officers and civilian employees together for fun, friendly competition to encourage movement and long-term healthy lifestyles.

The 2024 Fitness Challenge will begin on Sunday, February 11 and run through Saturday, May 4. As in 2023, the Activity Challenges will comprise four segments; each segment will run for three weeks. Challenge participants will again use the My Virtual Mission (MVM) mobile app to report the number of miles completed each day. Participants must send distances completed to the MVM website from apps or wearables including Apple Health, Adidas Running, Runkeeper, Strava, Fitbit, UnderArmour Connected Fitness and Map My Run/Ride/Walk/Fitness. No manual entries will be accepted. If you use a treadmill or stationary bicycle, you must use a tracking device that has a setting for treadmills or stationary bikes.
